Congratulations to Monica Youngblood on receiving a $1,500 classroom grant from the ēCO Credit Union Foundation in June 2017! We are so impressed by your passion and creativity in teaching your students about financial education.

Monica will be using the grant to pay for a Dave Ramsey financial literacy curriculum. Congratulations to both Monica Youngblood and Cornerstone Christian School!

Congratulations to Cheryl White for winning a $500 classroom grant for her students at Shades Valley High School! She is also providing financial education curriculum for her students.
I wanted to apply so that I would be able to buy the ‘Living on Your Own’ program…The books are $18 each, and I’ve just never had the supply money to be able to buy that for a class so I was thrilled to death!" -Cheryl White, Shades Valley High School

Classroom Seminars

At the ēCO Credit Union Foundation, we love getting out in the schools that are in our greater Birmingham community! We offer presentations that span from what a credit card is to compound interest to the differences between student loans, grants and scholarships. If you would like to request a seminar for your classroom, contact Melissa and Georgia at marketing@ecocu.org. We would love to accommodate you!
We are looking for:
  • Educators that are in charge of financial education for their students and/or school.
  • Educators with upperclassmen that could benefit from financial basics + college financial prep.
  • School systems that are looking for financial education seminars for students.
  • Administrators who are looking to educate their teachers for professional development on budgeting or offering a free financial seminar for their teachers.
  • We are flexible! If you have another idea, simply contact us to share.
